On a PACS image display workstation, zoom, pan, and loupe are standard tools used to alter how much or what part of an image is visible in the field of view.

• Zoom - increases the overall size of the image.
• Pan  - allows the center reference point of an image to be changed when the image is larger than its viewing area.
• Loupe - magnifies a portion of an image without altering the remainder of an image.
